My 'young adult' novels have become a means for me to time capsule the personalities of my children, their friends, and my students. Twenty five years of teaching has not only provided me with a wide array of colorful characters, but has also allowed me to see through the eyes of the child where I have been able to view their interests, hopes, and fears concerning themselves and the world around them.
As an artist and a science teacher I have made great efforts to delight all the senses of the reader by attempting to create a world in my stories where one can visualize, feel, hear, and even smell the elements of the tale being told. The greatest compliment I receive from readers young and old alike is that they feel as if they are in the story themselves soaking in everything that I release through the words they read. I have also taken the opportunity in my writing to creatively reinforce the values required of people to make this world we live in a better place. I encourage my readers to recognize that the power of personal choice is the greatest weapon we wield and that we should use it wisely. Enjoy the adventures in the pages of my books and may your own journey in life be one of wonder and fulfillment.
